Love here doesn’t rescue—it stays. ✨ My stories explore survival and transformation—because scars aren’t endings; they’re the spark that starts the blaze.🔥✨Enter my mythos of rebellion, haunted tech, gentle boys, and strong heroines who rise from broken places. 🔥🦋

About Joy Shaw
────── ⌘ ──────
I write dark myth-tech fantasies where grit, emotion, and magic collide.
My writing is shaped by lived experience—years of rebuilding, reclaiming, and learning that healing isn’t a finish line but a path. Those themes thread through everything I create: survival, transformation, and the courage to choose your own fire.
I love stories that braid character, atmosphere, and myth; where tension simmers and every choice carves a new path.
My ancestry weaves together Mizrahi Jewish, Dutch Mennonite, English working-class, Welsh immigrant, and American survivor lineages—a tapestry of endurance and reinvention that shapes the worlds I build.
I’m not just writing books—I’m building a mythos: stories that linger, haunt, and, hopefully, heal.
Beyond the page, I’m a teacher, wife, and mom to a sharp, funny sixth-grader who keeps life joyful and unpredictable. When I’m not drafting or revising, you’ll find me adventuring with my family, chasing sunsets, skiing through tree-lined trails, exploring national parks, reading by the soft glow of a midnight lamp, or indulging in the occasional Finnish sauna.
I’m so excited to share my stories with you.
